ROOTED IN BLOCKCHAINBUILT FOR THE REAL WORLD
01 / OUR ORIGINSAn idea. Then the work.

We started
with blockchain.
We saw beyond
the currency.

Our founder started his blockchain company in 2012. The conviction came early.

For Jay Ricky B. Villarante, blockchain was a way to rethink how value moves and how trust is established—an idea he began pursuing in the industry’s formative years.

Blockchain drew us in because of what it could make possible: financial access, verifiable information, and systems people can hold to account. Our work begins where those possibilities meet everyday needs.

FROM CONVICTION TO PRACTICE

Moneybees

Our subsidiary, Moneybees Forex Corp., holds a Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) license from the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), bringing regulated virtual asset services into the real world.

FROM BLOCKCHAIN TO A BROADER MISSIONSecuna

Built for blockchain.
Trusted far beyond it.

We started Secuna in 2017 to help blockchain companies defend against cyberattacks through vulnerability assessment and penetration testing.

That focused mission grew into a globally recognized cybersecurity assessment company, serving clients around the world—from small businesses to large enterprises and government institutions.

Secuna remains a trusted assessment partner for the blockchain industry. Its reach has grown beyond what we first imagined, helping organizations strengthen the systems that people and institutions depend on.

AN EARLY CONVICTION

From business to governance

02 / OUR CONVICTIONWhat makes progress worth backing.

Better technology.
Stronger foundations.

01

Make trust
verifiable.

From transactions to public records, people should be able to check what matters. We see value in systems that make evidence easier to examine and harder to alter.

02

Make access
practical.

Innovation matters when people can use it. We’re interested in the bridges between digital infrastructure and everyday financial life.

03

Build for
the long term.

A useful idea needs a durable business behind it. We grow organizations around real needs, responsible operations, and technology that can stand up to scrutiny.

Technology can make the record clearer.
People and institutions turn clarity into accountability.

the record.

Blockchain: A Catalyst for Good Governance in the Philippines

Published in 2019. Conceived in blockchain’s early years. The book grew from a conviction that took shape well before publication: blockchain could help make institutions more transparent and accountable.

What if the records that shape our lives were easier to verify—and harder to manipulate? The book explores how blockchain can support transparency and better governance in the Philippines.

It’s a question that continues to inform 8V: how can technology give people better evidence, greater access, and a stronger basis for trust?
